The Hiller Companies are seeking qualified
personnel to work in the Gulf Coast area. A minimum of five years
experience is required in marine shipbuilding and repair in the following
trades:
- Superintendents or Supervisors with
knowledge of pipefitting, structural steel fabrication, and welding.
Must be able to interface with shipyard management, develop manning and
material schedules, understand and comply with regulatory bodies, oversee
daily production efforts, enforce safety standards, etc.
- 1st and 2nd Class Pipefitters with
working knowledge of marine blueprints, ferrous and non-ferrous material,
bending procedures, mil-spec fit up techniques, silver and bronze brazing,
beveling equipment, and tools common to trade.
- 1st Class Welders able to weld in all
positions utilizing techniques for stick, tig, and flux core welding on
ferrous and non-ferrous material. Must be familiar with mil-spec
requirements for P-1, P-2, and P-3 systems. Must be able to certify
through testing.
- Joiner Supervisors must be able to
interface with shipyard management, develop and maintain manning material
schedules.
- Experienced Supervisors and Installers
of marine decking - ceramic, vinyl and rubber tile, carpet and trowell
mechanics (epoxy, latex, and/or concrete). Sub-contractors are
welcome.
Applicants must be able to physically lift and
carry 75 Lbs, climb and work at heights. Must present proof of U.S.
citizenship and render to a drug screen.
